A half day course on how Meditation and Mindfulness can help us to increase our self-confidence, reduce anxiety and help us deal with depression, by improving the view we have of ourself.

Authentic Buddhist wisdom presented for the modern world. Suitable for everyone, no previous experience necessary.

Peaceful Heart Meditation Workshop

‘There is no situation so bad that it cannot be accepted patiently with an open, accommodating, and peaceful heart.’ Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

There are three kinds of situation in which we can learn to be patient. Correspondingly there are three types of patience. With these three types of patience we reduce our anger, and experience great peace and joy.

Anyone can attend this meditation event; they are suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience. Everyone is welcome.

Meditation and Mindfulness with Kelsang Lekmon

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the best conditions. If we train in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful.

Relax and Unwind - Meditation Workshop with Veronica Patten

‘Usually we find it difficult to control our mind. It seems as if our mind is like a balloon in the wind – blown here and there by external circumstances. If things go well, our mind is happy, but if they go badly, it immediately becomes unhappy. For example, if we get what we want, such as a new possession or a new partner, we become excited and cling to them tightly.’
