The first Kadampa Temple was built at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in the Lake District. Due to its special architecture, based on the mandala of Heruka, the Buddha of compassion, it is a place of unusual beauty that has profound spiritual meaning.

American Temple

The second major Temple is in Glen Spey, New York, and is situated on 82 acres of beautiful wooded land near the Upper Delaware River.

The Temple was consecrated by Geshe Kelsang in October 2006, following the US Fall Festival.

This is now complete and National and International events are already taking place there. Find out more about the Brazilian Temple.
