Directions from Rayners Lane tube station

Exit Rayners Lane Tube station and walk around the Newsagent to your left. Stay left on Rayners Lane and walk down past the parade of shops. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the road cross over the lights and keep on walking beyond the parade of shops. You will pass, on your right-hand-side, a road called The Close and small patch of green. The Friends Meeting House is just beyond the green, between The Close and Farm Avenue.

These courses are based primarily on the bestselling title Introduction to Buddhism, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, available from the meditation class, from Tharpa Publications, or at all major book shops. In addition to covering essential meditation techniques, various topics from The New Meditation Handbook will be looked at each week as shown below.

Meditation and positive thinking: 30 Sep – 14 Oct (3 weeks)

Creating harmony and fulfilment: 11 Nov – 25 Nov (3 weeks)
  • Week 1: Freedom from within
  • Week 2: Solving stress and disharmony
  • Week 3: Removing obstacles to happiness

Wisdom and freedom: 2 Dec – 16 Dec (3 weeks)
  • Week 1: Clarity and wisdom
  • Week 2: The peace of wisdom
  • Week 3: Supreme inner peace
