NKT Summer Festival
A meaningful holiday in the Lake District
Dates: 23 July - 7 August
Venue: Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre

Bookings are still open for this year's NKT Summer Festival. Enjoy a meaningful holiday in the beautiful setting of Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in the heart of the Lake District. During the two weeks of this, the nineteenth NKT Summer Festival, we will receive the blessing empowerments of Buddha Amitayus and the Great Mother Prajnaparamita. We will also receive commentaries to the practices.


The empowerments and teachings will be given by the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition, Gen-la Dekyong and the Deputy Spiritual Director, Gen-la Kunsang. Both these empowerments and all the teachings are open to everyone.

A half-day course on the basics of meditation

Times: Teachings: 10am-1pm, lunch: 1pm-1.45pm
Venue: Heruka Centre, 13 Woodstock Road, London NW11 8ES

Meditation leads to peace of mind, harmonious relationships and a meaningful life. This popular half-day course is the perfect introduction to meditation, providing the basic techniques that will enable you to experience these benefits for yourself. The course includes guided meditations and practical advice on how meditation helps us to be happy and free from problems in daily life.

Fundraising barbeque
at Heruka Centre

Around 100 people recently visited Heruka Centre for a special fundraising barbeque; to enjoy the sun, some delicious vegetarian food and to hear about Heruka Centre's plans to acquire a new property. The event was a great success - thank you to everyone for coming along and making it such a wonderful day.

A big thank you also to all those who have already made donations towards the project! The fundraising so far has raised over £335,000, so we are now over half-way to our target of £600,000. Find out more about the fundraising project or ...
