About the retreat

This weekend meditation retreat is ideal for beginners and experienced meditators alike. John will explain and guide the meditations, and there will also be time for discussion and questions.

The retreat is an opportunity to learn to use meditation to develop and maintain positive states of mind that are the real cause of happiness. As Geshe Kelsang Gyatso explains:

"Happiness and suffering are states of mind and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind. If we want to be truly happy and free from suffering, we must learn to control our mind."

Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Modern Buddhism
